I'm a Security Architect at defi SOLUTIONS, an automotive finance software company, where I've spent six years progressing from hands-on security engineering to architecture and advisory work. My focus is cloud security — identity and access management, policy-as-code, enterprise technical governance, and operational controls.
What I work on now: I advise VPs and the CIO on security architecture for new technology initiatives, author security policies and standards, contribute to our risk assessment framework, and handle IAM, SSO, security automation, and application security-related escalations.
How I got here: I came to enterprise security through an unusual path — cognitive science degrees from UT Dallas, a game programming certificate from SMU Guildhall, and a stint building cloud infrastructure and AR games at a startup.
I currently hold a CISSP and have previously held both Azure and AWS certifications. I've held both lead and managerial roles in addition to my current IC position, and I enjoy teaching and mentoring.
